Boards we receive must be physically intact – not broken, no components or connectors ripped off etc; minor schuffs or chipped off corners are usually fine as long as they do not affect the board’s functionality. Similarily the boards must be chemically sound, i. Without excessive rust, oxidation, water damage etc. Boards must also have NOT been worked on or previously repaired. Such boards are statistically guranteed to take longer / cost more to repair and in some 15% of the time not be repairable at all. To summarize, we want boards that we have a fair chance repairing, even if it means we end up NOT being able to repair them for whatever reason. We are ready to assume the risk as long as the initial condition isn’t one that tells us it makes no sense to assume such risk. And from experience we know those are boards with physical damage, chemical damage and – for the most part – traces of human intervention.
