SERVICE DESCRIPTION – PLEASE READ IN FULL! Coppell TV Repair LLC offers a REPAIR SERVICE for LG main board EBR66400202 / 66400202 shown on the picture and used in LG 55LE5400-UC smart LED TV. REPAIR SERVICE means that you need to send us your defective board, which meets our criteria and we will test, service, test again and return to you. HOW DOES IT WORK This is a flat rate testing and repair service, meaning we will attempt to repair any problem with the board within that price as long as the board we receive meets our requirements (see separate section below). Depending on what we find out and what we do you pay the listed price or less (details explained further below). Following the instructions you package and send or otherwise deliver the board to us. If the board arrives in working order you will be contacted for details. If the board is bad then we attempt to repair it. If we succeed we usually send the board back without communication. If we fail to repair the board we contact you with details. If you have any questions please ask before initiating the service! While there can clearly be a large number of failures and failure symptoms that probably can’t all be listed, here are the most common ones we’ve seen this board cause that we’ve seen. HDMI inputs not working. Loss of audio or loss of video; loss of video is more often caused by a failed sustain board, though, for which we have separate services; still, a defect in the main board could and we have seen cause loss of image – way less often than sustain boards, but definitely a possibility. Totally dead TV; this can be caused by a bad power supply as well, but at least for this model we’ve seen the main board being bad way more often than the power supply board. NOTE ON QUALITY AND PRICE. This allows us to replace the processor if and when we have to (often enough) and this is simply not possible without such a machine. Add in the effect on the board by baking versus properly heating it in a controlled optimized manner (google BGA soldering temperature curve) and add in the factor that we’ve been doing it for 10 years and learned to incorporate in price the cost of failures so that we do not have negative experience when something does not work as it should. Simply put you get what you pay for. Outcome of any repair service is never guaranteed; we believe that anyone claiming otherwise is either too young to know better or trying to take advantage of you. That said, we will NOT work on boards that others tried to fix by baking or otherwise tormenting them; we use professional equipment worth tens of thousands of dollars, but even that can’t help if board has already been through a microwave! REQUIREMENTS FOR THE BOARD SENT FOR SERVICE. The board(s) we receive must be physically intact and must have not been tampered with or serviced before. The advertised flat rate for repair service is only valid when the above conditions are met. Exceptions are possible and often applied for minor repair attempts, but we reserve the sole right to judge if and when we would consider a repair minor. It is also possible, depending on the condition of the board, to eliminate the second possibility and just flat our reject having to service the board. Subject to situation and availability we may also recommend replacement of the board, again at the higher than advertised price for repair.
